The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is now fully open. Walking events and other events will be held at “Yuki-no-Otani” (Snow Valley), which rises 13 meters above the ground.

Tateyama Kurobe Kanko announced the full opening of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, a world-class mountain tourism route connecting Toyama and Nagano prefectures.

In conjunction with this, the “2023 Tateyama Kurobe Snow Valley Festival” will be held from April 15 to June 25. This season, the “Yuki-no-Otani” created by snow removal in the Tateyama Murodo area, a heavy snowfall area at 2,450 meters above sea level, will reach 13 meters in height. Visitors can enjoy the “Yuki-no-Otani Walk,” a walk through the powerful snow walls, and the “Panorama Road,” a snow-covered promenade offering a panoramic view of the Tateyama Mountain Range.

In addition, from April 15 to May 21, the 1st STAGE will be held under the title of “Enjoy Yuki Asobi with Everyone,” in which snow will be dug up to make new paths! Let’s make a new road! and “Tateyama Yuki Terrace” on weekends and holidays, where visitors can relax and enjoy the snowy scenery.

Also, from May 22 to June 25, 2nd STAGE “Let’s find XX! will feature an original postcard stamp rally and a photo contest. In addition, there will be an event to tour around Murodou-daira in early summer while taking pictures with photographer Yasto Inagaki, who was appointed as an ambassador of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route this year.

During the period, various rides will operate between Tateyama Station (Toyama Prefecture) and Ogisawa (Nagano Prefecture), including the “Tateyama Kogen Bus” and the “Tateyama Tunnel Trolley Bus” that run through the snowy valley.
