Yokosuka seaside Partners will hold the “Spring Rose Festa” at Yokosuka City Verney Park (1-1 Shioiri-cho, Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture). The period is May 3-28 (10:00-16:00 each day), and admission is free.
During the period, the lawn area of the French-style flowerbed, which is normally inaccessible, will be opened to the public. Visitors can view approximately 1,300 roses of 130 varieties along with a view of Yokosuka Harbor. The best time to view the roses is from early to late May.
A marché will also be held from May 3 to 5 (10:00 to 15:00 each day). Seedlings and rose goods will be on sale to enjoy roses at home.
In addition, “Yokosuka Oktoberfest 2023 in spring” by the Yokosuka Oktoberfest Executive Committee will be held in the park from May 12 to 21 (16:00 to 21:00 weekdays / 11:00 to 21:00 weekends and holidays). Visitors can enjoy German beer imported directly from Germany and authentic German cuisine while admiring beautiful roses.
