Chichibu Railway will sell two types of special tickets from May 5 to 31, 2023, to commemorate the Japanese calendar and the date “5” on May 5, 2023. Both tickets will be available at Chichibu Railway’s Fukaya Hanazono, Nagatoro and Chichibu stations, the mail order “Chichitetsu e-shop” and at the “Wakuwaku Railway Festa” on May 20, 2012.
The “May 5, 2023 Commemorative Train Tickets – Operating Kilometer Ver” will be sold for the reason that the Japanese calendar and the date are aligned with the number “5” and that the length of the operating line between Gyoda-shi and Urayamaguchi stations, Kumagaya and Hakuku stations, Higuchi and Kaminagatoro stations, and Bushu Nakagawa and Mibuguchi stations are all 55.5 km. Each ticket includes one hard ticket, with the C-type ticket featuring a photo of electric locomotive No. 505 and the D-type ticket featuring a photo of the 7505 commuter train. The price is 2,120 yen.
The “May 5, 2023 Commemorative Tickets – Station Numbering Ver” are special tickets that feature the number “5” for CR05 Higashi-Gyoda Station, CR15 Mukawa Station, and CR25 Kaminagatoro Station from the station numbering system introduced in September 2022.
In addition, admission tickets and boarding passes purchased at Chichibu Railway Hanyu, Kumagaya, Fukaya Hanazono, Yorii, Nagatoro, Chichibu, and Ohanabatake stations will be printed with the last two digits of the western calendar, but on May 5, they will be printed with the Japanese calendar.
