Posted on 2023-05-292023-05-29 by Editor in Chief

Sun-X has been conducting the “Sumikkomachi Collaboration,” in which the character “Sumikko Gurashi” and local governments across Japan collaborate to enliven their towns, and from June 1 to July 31, the “Sumikkomachi Campaign in Shimonoseki” will be held in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, where the two companies are collaborating this time.

During the collaboration period, “Sumikko Points” will be set up in various locations in the city and introduced in leaflets and on the official Sumikko Collaboration website. Photos taken at Sumikko Point will be presented to 100 lucky winners of a drawing for an original acrylic stand if they follow the official Twitter account (@sumikko_335) and post their photo with the hashtags “#Sumikkomachi Collaboration” and “#Shimonoseki”.

In addition, posters and panels will be posted at various locations in Shimonoseki City from June 1, where you can get original smartphone wallpaper. You can look for them while touring Sumikko Point.

The “Sumikkomachi Collaboration” is part of the “Sumikko de Tsunagarou Project” to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Sumikko Gurashi in 2022, and invites communities and organizations from all over Japan who wish to work with Sumikko Gurashi to liven up their towns. In addition to Shimonoseki City in Yamaguchi Prefecture, collaborations are currently underway with Kurashiki City in Okayama Prefecture, Wakkanai City in Hokkaido, Sumida Ward in Tokyo, and the Osumi Peninsula in Kagoshima Prefecture.

The five selected cities in Japan will be designated as “Sumikkomachi” and each area will have its own character. The characters will serve as Sumikkomachi PR ambassadors to promote the “Sumikkomachi Collaboration. In Shimonoseki City, where this campaign will be held, “Tokage” will serve as the Sumikkomachi PR ambassador.
