This time I stopped by Nakanojo Gardens. I happened to be passing by the area and dropped by after reading a local tourist guide. I was surprised to learn that the Nakanojo Gardens is a revolving garden, in which the garden plays a leading role, and that it is unexpectedly beautifully maintained.
As soon as you enter, you will see the “Rose Garden,” which is a spring rose garden with objets d’art and a place that would look great on an Instagram. There are also various other gardens where you will be greeted by a variety of flowers. There is also a shaded area where you can relax and read a book, and a garden with playground equipment for children, so families can enjoy themselves as well.
Access by car is about 50 minutes from the Shibukawa-Ikaho IC of the Kan-Etsu Expressway. By train, it takes 55 minutes from JR Takasaki Station to Nakanojo Station on the Azuma Line, and from there it is about 15 minutes by cab or local bus. The flowers that can be seen vary according to the season, so you can enjoy the area throughout the four seasons by checking the flower calendar on the website.
