On June 4, ANA launched the “Pikachu Jet NH”, a specially painted aircraft for international flights. The aircraft is a 246-seat Boeing 787-9 (registration code: JA894A), and its first flight was NH847 to Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok. The day before the flight, an unveiling event was held for invited guests, and the aircraft was also unveiled to the public.

Flight NH850: Departure from Bangkok (21:35) to Haneda (05:50)
Pikachu Jet NH was made possible through ANA’s support for the “Sora tobu Pikachu Project” developed by Pokémon Inc. The project is based on the principle that many people had been restricted in their mobility for a long time, but after the Corona Disaster, they can now travel freely and feel the joy of travel and mobility through Pokémon.
The aircraft is painted all over with a dynamic design of Pikachu, as well as Recuza, Latias, Latios, and Vibyon, and Junko Yazawa, Director and Managing Executive Officer of ANA, commented on the design, “I hope all customers, from children to adults, will enjoy this design, which depicts each generation of flying type I drew Pokémon of each generation of flight types so that all customers, including children and adults, can enjoy the design. She explained, “The entire aircraft is painted with the Rek-Usa, which represents ANA’s challenge to open up a new future for the company.
Kenjiro Ito, Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Pokémon Inc. commented on this initiative, “Pokémon’s works have depicted going out and having adventures. We want people to travel around the world in this Pikachu Jet. Pokemon fans are not only in Japan but all over the world, so I want as many of them as possible to come to Japan, and I want as many people as possible to fly from Japan to the world.” He expressed his hope for the potential of Pikachu Jet NH, which will enter service as an international flight.
After the first flight to Bangkok, PikachuJet NH will launch flights to Singapore, Jakarta, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Delhi, Sydney, Vancouver, Honolulu, and other destinations.
