Nighttime ramp closure at Gaikan and Kanetsu Oizumi IC on July 6. A section of Mejiro Street will also be closed at night.

Posted on 2023-06-092023-06-09 by Editor in Chief

NEXCO East Japan Tokyo Gaikan Construction Office will close ramps at the Oizumi Interchange on the Gaikan Expressway and the Kanetsu Expressway (E17) during the night to allow for bridge erection work around the Oizumi Interchange on the Tokyo Gaikan Expressway (C3). Also, a section of the Tokyo Metropolitan Road No. 24 Nerima-Tokorozawa Route (Mejiro-dori) will be closed to traffic.

The closure date is July 6, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., with July 10-13 as a backup date. The closed areas are the Oizumi IC exit ramp on the inner loop road (from Wako), the Oizumi IC entrance ramp on the outer loop road (from Wako), the Oizumi IC entrance ramp on the Kanetsu Expressway (from Tokorozawa), and the 0.4 km area around the Oizumi IC on Mejiro Street.

When using the Oizumi IC exit on the Outer Ring Road (inward), you can exit at the Wako IC and use Sasame Dori or Oizumigakuen Dori to go around to Mejiro Dori. Note that traffic can be diverted toward the Kan-etsu Expressway (off-ramp). When using the Oizumi IC entrance to the Gaikando (outer ring road), use Sasame Dori or Oizumigakuen Dori to enter from the Wako IC. If you use the Kan-etsu Expressway (downhill) from the Oizumi IC entrance, use the Nerima IC or Tokorozawa IC on the Kan-etsu Expressway.

In addition, those using Mejiro-dori from the direction of Kitazono to Yahara can detour using Nerima General Ward Road No. 32-461 from Nerima Main Ward Road No. 58. Those using the Kitaen direction from the Yanihara direction can detour using Toei-dori, Oizumi-kaido, and Oizumi-gakuen-dori.

Since there is a possibility of congestion on detoured routes on public roads, we urge people to check road information before going out and to allow extra time.
