Sekisui House and Marriott International have set July 12 as the opening date for Fairfield by Marriott Saga Ureshino Onsen (96-1, Oaza Shimoyado Kou, Ureshino-cho, Ureshino-shi, Saga Prefecture).
As part of the Trip Base Roadside Stations Project, a regional development project being promoted since 2018, this is the 27th Fairfield by Marriott brand in Japan (and the second in Kyushu) that specializes in lodging adjacent to roadside stations nationwide, and the first in Saga Prefecture.
The hotel is adjacent to Ureshino Onsen Station on the West Kyushu Shinkansen Line and Roadside Station “Ureshinomaruku,” which opens in 2022, and has a total of 84 guest rooms on four floors.
In addition to bathing in Ureshino Hot Spring, known as one of the “three best hot springs for beautiful skin in Japan,” visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including a “tea wheel” tour around the city on a rented bicycle carrying Ureshino tea and a “tea space experience” where they can taste tea and sweets at a facility set up in a tea farm.
