Moomin Valley Park (327-6 Metza, Miyazawa, Hanno, Saitama Prefecture), operated by Moomin Story, will hold its first summer event, “Riviera,” from July 8 to August 27.
The theme is inspired by the comic book story “Moomin on the Riviera,” in which the Moomins experience a summer vacation. Parasols, beach chairs, and a water fountain where children can enjoy playing in the water are set up in a mist that resembles the ocean.
In addition to event goods such as sling bags and printed tenugui hand towels, limited edition summery food will also be available.
At the Lettura Lounge, the “Sea of Riviera” drink with peach and pineapple flavors and the “Riviera Bongole Pasta” with its distinctive ingredient flavors, and at the Library Café, the “Summer Vacation Soda” tropical drink with mango pulp.
At the take-out food store, Pikalooka, visitors can taste the blue Riviera soft serve ice cream, which is inspired by the ocean.
During this period, Moomintroll and Snork’s little boy will be wearing swimsuits for the first time to welcome guests.
