JR East has informed that some services of Ekinet and Mobile Suica are unavailable due to a power failure of the system server that occurred at around 0:37 a.m. on June 24, 2012.
The following services are no longer available: reservations, changes, and cancellations on Ekinet, use of the Mobile Suica application (recharging, purchasing Suica Green tickets, etc.), and reservations and cancellations for the JR East View Dynamic Rail Pack.
You can use cash and credit cards at the Midori-no-madoguchi and ticket vending machines, board a train with a charged Suica, make purchases, and charge Suica with cash without any problems.
