enResort Grandeco Hotel” opened in Kitashiobara-mura, Fukushima Prefecture. Activities in Urabandai

The COURT opened “EN RESORT Grandeco Hotel” (1082 Hibara Arasawasawa, Kitashiobara-mura, Yama-gun, Fukushima Prefecture) in Kitashiobara-mura, Yama-gun, Fukushima Prefecture.

In conjunction with this, “EN RESORT Grandeco Mountain Resort” will open at the same time, where visitors can experience activities to fully enjoy the nature of Urabandaï (裏磐梯). The Grandeco Urabandaï Ropeway, located within the resort, will begin summer operations on July 15.

The hotel will have 103 guest rooms in total, and the building will be equipped with a hot spring and a swimming pool that can be used year-round. All of the resort’s water, from the tap water used in guest rooms to the water used for cooking meals and the pool water, is all natural Ono River spring water that is purified in-house. The resort also offers activities such as “Hyakkan Shimizu Trekking” to see the moment Onogawa spring water is created, and canoeing and SUP at Onogawa Lake, which was formed by Onogawa spring water.

The entrance lobby area has been completely renovated with a new bar counter surrounding a symbolic fireplace in the center. A café space is also provided in one corner of the lounge, which can be used freely during your stay, and an activity center will be set up in the reception area on the first floor, where you can get help coordinating ways to enjoy Urabandaï (Urabandaï). Guests will be offered free “morning walks” with a guide, bonfire experiences, and star gazing events.

THE MOUNTAIN DINING restaurant, which offers a menu focused on local production for local consumption, is also open. Dinner will be served in an original semi-buffet format, combining one seasonal main dish and a buffet. The dinner buffet features a lineup of approximately 50 dishes that enjoy Fukushima Prefecture ingredients and local cuisine. In the morning, guests can enjoy a buffet of about 40 dishes, including Fukushima’s food culture “Asa-Ra”.

Two “Japanese Modern Twin” rooms with tatami mats have been added to the guest rooms. The layout of the “Deluxe Twin” has also been partially changed. All rooms are now card key-controlled, and facilities have been upgraded.
