The Nippon Professional Baseball Hall of Fame and Central Japan Railway Company (JR Tokai) will hold a baseball interaction class with professional baseball alumni and a superconducting linear train ride for 40 first- and second-grade elementary school children on September 16.
Former Chiba Lotte Marines player Tomoya Satosaki and other players are scheduled to participate in this project, which allows children to enjoy a hands-on baseball and train ride with the players. Participation is free, and each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The meeting place is Tokyo Station (meeting at 8:30 a.m. and disbanding around 6:00 p.m.). After traveling by Shinkansen bullet train and bus, participants will have a baseball workshop at the General Training Center (1-4-19 Bunkyo-cho, Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture) and a superconducting linear train ride at the Experimental Center adjacent to the Prefectural Linear Observation Center (2381 Ogatayama, Tsuru City, Yamanashi Prefecture).
Applications must be submitted in advance via the application form, and will be accepted from 1:00 p.m. on August 1 to 11:59 p.m. on August 10, with a drawing to be held if there are too many applications. Only the winners will be notified of the results after August 16.
