Hachette Collections Japan will launch “Disney Magical Music Theater” on August 23. By assembling the parts included in each issue, readers can collect their own miniature figures of famous Disney scenes.
When completed, it becomes a three-dimensional objet d’art with an outstanding sense of presence. A built-in speaker plays the perfect music box song for each stage. The originally designed figures are carefully designed to reproduce scenes from selected masterpieces. A total of 125 issues will be published, with the first issue priced at 229 yen, No. 2 and No. 3 at 1,599 yen, and No. 4 and thereafter at 1,849 yen.
The collection, consisting of nine rooms, features nine Disney films: Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel on the Tower, Aladdin, Snow White, Cinderella, Toy Story, The Little Mermaid, Winnie the Pooh, and Anna and the Snow Queen.
For example, “Part of Your World” for The Little Mermaid, “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” for Toy Story, and “Let it go” for Anna and the Snow Queen. The Anna and the Snow Queen stage has “Let it go” and more!
The figures also have added movement. In the case of “Beauty and the Beast,” the gimmick is a highlight, such as recreating the scene where Belle and the Beast dance the waltz.
Two lighting modes are available: all lights on mode and theater mode. This creates a more dramatic effect for the theater after completion.
In addition, subscribers will receive original figures of Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck to decorate the “Big Band” section that stands by on the outdoor stage at the top of the magazine. If you subscribe to the “Premium Subscription” for 250 yen for each issue after the fourth issue, you will also receive a set of eight original “Mickey & Friends’ Big Band” figures. This set will also feature the “Mickey Mouse March.
The book will be available at bookstores nationwide and on the official website.
