I took a ride on WILLER’s 3-row express bus, Reborn Laxia Commodore, the flagship with only 18 seats is business class on the ground!

The two most common means of transportation between Tokyo and Osaka are the Tokaido Shinkansen, a high frequency early in the morning, and the Haneda-Itami air route familiar to business travelers, but there is also the option of taking an express bus overnight to take it easy. For example, the last Shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka is the Nozomi 265 departing at 21:24, and the next flight does not depart until 6:00 the next morning. Air flights are even earlier, departing from Haneda at 19:00 due to the operational limitation of landing at Itami Airport until 21:00. On the other hand, night buses depart from Bus Terminal Tokyo Yaesu at 21:55 (Reborn) and Basta Shinjuku at 24:10 (Commodore), so the “Tokyo departure dead line” is quite late. And yet, since it arrives in Osaka between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m., there are probably quite a few needs that match not only business use but also sightseeing purposes (Note: The timetable is current at the time of publication of this article). WILLER EXPRESS offers a lineup of three-row “Reborn,” “Luxia,” and “Commodore” buses that are just right for such leisurely travel. All of them feature a spacious design with ample space around the seats, which are separated by shell-shaped seats and curtains to provide a highly private travel experience. We had the opportunity to test ride each of these seats and would like to introduce their comfort. For a lower fare, the company also offers the “Prime” and “Relax” four-row seat cars equipped with a “canopy,” a hood-like device that covers the face.
