On July 31, Hokkaido Air System (HAC) announced the opening of the Okadama (Sapporo) – Nemuro-Nakashibetsu route from the winter timetable of FY2023, with two round trips per day.
The opening of this route is said to be aimed at strengthening the connection between Sapporo and the Nemuro area, improving the convenience of local medical services, promoting local industry, and contributing to the development of the local community.
This is the first new airport for JAL Group domestic flights in 12 years, and together with neighboring Memanbetsu, Kushiro, and Obihiro airports, will enhance the “East Hokkaido” network.
