Sosakusha opened “Balliko Kogei no Yado Izumigaya” (3240-1 Maruko, Suruga-ku, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture), an accommodation facility renovated from an old private house.
A 100-year-old private house that has remained in the town, which has long been a bustling inn town, has been renovated to offer five different types of guest rooms. The rooms are furnished by craftsmen and equipped with special amenities. The neighborhood is dotted with unique cafes, stores, and galleries, including “Sunpu no Kobo Takumi-Yado,” a facility for experiencing traditional crafts. In addition to exploring historical sites in the Sunpu area, the hotel can be used as a base for travelers to experience various craftsmanship and nature.
Each room is equipped with a private sauna, and you can enjoy a tea-scented candlelit bath as much as you like. You can “totono” to your heart’s content in the water bath made of hinoki cypress or in the conditioning area with relaxing chairs with backrests.
The plan including dinner will be served at the creative cuisine restaurant “Simples-Simples”, combining selected Suruga Bay seafood with locally produced ingredients.
