Arcs International has announced that the Japanese premiere of the musical “Winnie the Pooh, Disney” will take place in the spring of 2024.
Written by A.A. Milne, the musical is in the vein of Disney’s popular animated feature film “Winnie the Pooh,” which premiered in New York in 2021 and has been performed in London, Chicago, and Australia.
The musical “Disney Winnie the Pooh” features not only Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin, but also Tigger, Piglet, Kanga and Roo. Rabbit and Owl also make appearances, weaving a tale set in a 100-acre forest with life-size puppets and music by the Sherman Brothers.
Production will be handled by creator Jonathan Rockefeller. Details of the Japan tour, including tickets and performance dates, will be announced on the official website shortly.
