JAL is accepting donations through JAL Charity Miles in response to the situation of the Maui, Hawaii fires that have caused extensive damage since August 8, 2011. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from JALPAK tours will be donated as relief funds. The outline is as follows
Donation of a portion of JALPAK tour proceeds
Eligible tours: All overseas package tours to Hawaii and JAL dynamic packages departing between August 26 and March 31, 2024 that are applied for between August 21 and September 30.
Donation details: 500 yen per person from a portion of the proceeds will be donated to support the program.
In addition, donations will be collected at the JAL Sakura Lounge, departure gates, and two JALPAK Aloha Stations in Waikiki on Oahu. Donations will be used to support the victims of the disaster through the Maui Strong Fund, which is administered by the Hawaii Community Foundation.
