Posted on 2023-09-20 by Editor in Chief

Hoshino Resort will reopen “OMO7 Kochi by Hoshino Resort” (9-15 Kyutanda, Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture) on June 13, 2024. Reservations are scheduled to open on January 11, 2024.

The concept is “Kojanto-Rakuen, Come on, Night!” to experience the charms of Kochi, such as the “Yosakoi Festival” with its powerful performances and the banquet culture called “Okyaku” where everyone is treated without distinction. The concept was decided to be “Kojanto Rakuen, Come on, Night! Kojanto” is a Kochi word meaning “really” or “full of life.

There are a total of 133 guest rooms in 9 types, and one of the features is the “Utage Suite,” a concept room themed on Kochi’s banquet culture, “Okyaku. A living space is provided so that guests can enjoy a pleasant time with delicious drinks and meals even in their rooms.

OMO Base is a transformable public space that can be used as a lounge or café during the day and as a show venue at night, featuring a grand staircase approximately 7 meters wide that leads from the first to the second floor, where visitors can relax in the stair-like seating area.

Go-KINJO, a common service of OMO, is a map where staff members who love their hometown gather special information together with their neighbors. It will also include information on ice cream stores, which are well-known in Kochi, as well as local ways to enjoy representative gourmet foods such as bonito and meat.

In the evening, guests can enjoy Kochi’s culinary culture in the OMO Dining Room. Inspired by the traditional Kochi dish called “sarabachi,” local ingredients are lined up on a circular buffet table. The “Bonito Tataki” is prepared in front of your eyes, and a parfait with an arrangement of “Imokenpi”, a local sweet potato paste, is also available.

In addition, the staff will put on a festival show every night so that visitors can feel the atmosphere of yosakoi all year round.

The large baths include indoor and outdoor baths, and the indoor baths are decorated with paintings that resemble “fluff,” which is decorated on the Boys’ Festival in Kochi.
