ETCGO” at Sango Nagareyama Bridge toll road, only Diners Club ETC card can be used at the time of opening. Other cards are “under negotiation”.

Amano and Metropolitan Expressway announced on October 5 that “ETCGO,” a cashless payment service using ETC, will be launched on the Misato Nagareyama Bridge toll road, which will open at 15:00 on November 26.

ETCGO was jointly commercialized by Amano, Metropolitan Expressway Company, Hitachi, Ltd. and Metropolitan Expressway ETC Maintenance as part of the ETC multi-purpose use service. Unlike existing ETC on expressways, ETCGO can be used for toll collection on toll roads as well as parking lots, and features relatively low capital investment, although it requires a temporary stop.

ETCGO is available only on the Sango Nagareyama Bridge toll road at the latest, and the only ETC card available is the Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Club “Diners Club Card” (as of October 5).

When we confirmed this matter with Amano’s Public Relations Department and the Metropolitan Expressway Public Relations Division, they told us that since this is a new system, they are “currently negotiating with the issuing companies” and that “only Diners Club will be handling this service” at the time the Misato Nagareyama Bridge toll road opens.
