Hakone Tozan Railway, a member of the Odakyu Group, will conduct a demonstration experiment of priority boarding gates for the Hakone Ropeway and Hakone Tozan Cable Car with advance reservations so that passengers can tour Hakone more comfortably during the autumn foliage season. The test will be conducted on Saturdays in November, the busiest season in Hakone.
Hakone Ropeway will adopt a pre-registration system at the Hayakumoyama Station. Reservations can be made from 4:00 p.m. on October 10 on the website. 120 people can make reservations every 15 minutes.
Hakone Tozan Cable Car will accept requests for priority boarding by issuing numbered tickets on the day at Gora Station. The applicable trains are the temporary Sounzan direct trains departing from Gora Station at 11:22, 12:22, and 13:22 on November 4, 11, and 18. Reservation tickets for these trains will be issued at the concourse of Gora Station from 9:30 a.m. on those days to those who wish to take the trains. The number of people who can make reservations in advance is limited to 100 per train.
