Tokyo Station Kaihatsu will open its first two new restaurants in five years on October 25 at Tokyo Ramen Street, located on the first basement floor of Tokyo Station Ichibangai.

The first restaurant is Miso Mendokoro Hanamichian, where you can enjoy miso ramen from Tokyo. This famous restaurant has won first place in the miso ramen category of the “Ramen Database” three times and has been listed in the “Tokyo Ramen of the Year” for 10 consecutive years.

The signature dish, Miso Ramen (950 yen), uses thick, firm noodles specially ordered from Mikawaya to go with the rich, yet gentle flavor of the soup. Toppings include vegetables, pickled bamboo shoots, and chashu pork.

The menu also includes “Special Miso Ramen” (1,350 yen), which is available only at Tokyo Station. It is said to be a hearty bowl of ramen topped with a generous portion of special pork belly marinated in garlic and soy sauce. The restaurant has a total of 29 seats and is open from 10:30 to 23:00 (last order at 22:30).

The second restaurant is the new “Iekei-Ramen Innovative Ie Tokyo” by the owner of the Michelin Bib Gourmand-listed “Solanoiro. As the name suggests, the “Innovative Ike Ramen Special” (1,380 yen) is characterized by its rich and sharp soup made with plenty of Japanese pork bones, back fat, and chicken bones, and a proprietary blend of “Yamasa Shoyu’s Ginsen Shoyu” as the main ingredient for the sauce.

While punchier than traditional Ihekei Ramen, it is smooth and easy to eat, and tastes great with the special noodles made of 100% domestic wheat. Toppings include three kinds of pork chashu (pork belly), pork belly, and pork loin cooked at low temperature.

In addition, the “mellow chiyu soba” (1,100 yen) is a recommended menu item that can only be enjoyed at Tokyo Station. The restaurant seats 26 people and is open from 10:00 to 23:00 (last order at 22:30).

In addition, the existing “Solanoiro NIPPON” on Tokyo Ramen Street will be fully renewed with a new name, menu, and storefront as “Solanoiro NIPPON” with an eye toward ramen that is popular around the world.

The famous “Veggie Soba,” which uses vegetables as all ingredients, has evolved into the “Mushroom Veggie Soba” (1,000 yen) filled with mushrooms, and a new menu item is the “Sora no Iro Special Shoyu Ramen” (1,380 yen) with the aroma and flavor of Amakusa Daio, a locally raised chicken.

The restaurant also offers a vegan and gluten-free menu. The restaurant seats 26 people and is open from 9:00 to 23:00 (last order at 22:30).

To celebrate the opening of this new restaurant, the first 5,000 customers who dine at any Tokyo Ramen Street restaurant after October 25 will receive an original “ramen sticker” and “collection book.

A photo contest will also be held to select 10 winners each to receive a 10,000 yen coupon for use at Tokyo Ramen Street and an N700S Shinkansen Departure Progress Ramen Bowl Set made of Aritayaki porcelain.

Entrants must follow the official X of Tokyo Station Ichibangai (@tokyoeki1bangai) and post ramen photos taken at Tokyo Ramen Street with “#Tokyo Ramen Street” and “#Photo Contest” by November 30 (prizes will be shipped in mid-December).
