Tourism Expo Japan 2023 Osaka-Kansai, one of the world’s largest travel events, is being held at INTEX Osaka (Suminoe-ku, Osaka City) for four days from October 26 to 29.
The Hawaii Tourism Authority’s booth will feature the concept “Travel can make the world beautiful,” which is part of the Authority’s “Malama Hawaii” slogan for Responsible Tourism and Regenerative Tourism. The booth will provide visitors to Hawaii with the latest information on Oahu, Hawaii, Kauai and Maui through panels and digital contents.
In addition, a panel will be set up where visitors can send messages to Maui, which was severely damaged by the wildfires. In addition, visitors who follow the station’s official X account (@goHawaiiJP) and comment on what they want to do in Hawaii by quoting the video post will receive souvenirs such as Hawaiian organizers, bottles, and snacks on a first-come, first-served basis.
Mr. Ryuta Teramoto, Deputy Director of the Japan Branch of the Hawaii Visitors Bureau, said, “In the past, we have promoted Hawaii with an emphasis on environmental protection. This year, we are going to provide information on activities in the great outdoors, gourmet food, and so on. We hope that many of you will travel to Hawaii, which will lead to the restoration of Hawaii,” he said, calling on visitors.
