On October 29, Hokkaido Air System launched the Okadama (Sapporo) – Nemuro-Nakashibetsu route and the Okadama – Akita route, respectively.
The company has been replacing its fleet with ATR 42-600 aircraft since 2020, and just put its fourth aircraft (No. 4) into scheduled service on October 25, 2023, the first in the company’s history.
The new four-plane fleet has made today’s new opening possible, especially for Nemuro-Nakashibetsu Airport, which is the first new domestic route for the JAL Group in 12 years, since Rishiri Airport in October 2011.
