Calbee and Yamadoya will release a collaborative product, “Kore Shikanai! Shakushisenbei and Kappa Ebisen Takumikai Set” will go on sale on November 15 in limited quantities.

The “Shakuko Senbei” and “Kappa Ebisen Takumikai” are available in six-packs of each type, priced at 980 yen. They are sold at YAMADAYA directly-managed stores, souvenir stores in the Hiroshima area, and the YAMADAYA online store.

Both companies originated in Hiroshima, and the project was realized over a period of about two years with the hope of revitalizing the local community. The “Shakuko Senbei” is a rice cracker in the shape of a Miyajima specialty Shakuko, a lucky charm to “take the enemy’s food,” while the “Kappa Ebisen Takumikai” is made with plenty of natural shrimp from the Seto Inland Sea.

The original character “Koreshika-san” is featured on the package. He is a resident of Miyajima and a self-proclaimed ambassador of famous confections.

In addition, a launch celebration event will be held at the YAMADAYA Miyajima main store on November 18-19. The first 700 people to purchase at least one box of the product will receive a bag of “26g Kappa Ebisen” as a free gift. Kappaebi-kun, the character of Kappa Ebisen, will also appear at the event.

Each sales outlet other than the YAMADAYA Miyajima main store will also distribute a limited number of Korega’s original stickers (2,000).
