LINE Yahoo extended the forecast time of the Yahoo! Weather app’s “Rain and Snow Radar” up to 15 hours ahead, and began offering a “snow depth mode” that shows snow accumulation.
Rain/Snow Radar is a function that shows predicted snowfall and rainfall amounts on a map with four levels of color-coding for each. it has been showing predictions up to six hours ahead since it was first offered in 2017, but has been extended to up to 15 hours ahead to encourage earlier action during stormy weather. When snowfall is forecast, users can take countermeasures such as changing transportation methods and choosing non-slip shoes. The rain and snow radar within the Yahoo!
In the snow depth mode, the depth of snow on the ground at 5:00 a.m. each morning is displayed on a map in 13 levels. By using this mode when you want to check the snow depth at your destination, you can prepare for risks such as accidents.
