JICA publishes a manga version of project histories that summarize the inspiring trajectories and achievements of Japan’s proud international cooperation projects in an easy-to-understand way for the young people who will lead the future.
Ms. Reiko Abe was sent to Delhi, the capital of India, to build a subway system and worked as a Japanese woman while struggling with cultural barriers and differences in the way work was done.
Mr. Mitsuaki Furukawa was involved in organizing a national sporting event to unite the disparate people of the newly independent, multi-ethnic South Sudan, on the way to their participation in the Olympics.
We have invited two people who have overcome various difficulties and created a path for international cooperation to speak about their own experiences.
We would like to learn about JICA’s role in international cooperation and the enthusiasm and struggles of the people involved in its projects, and would like to think with you about the nature of international cooperation in the new era.
There will be time for Q&A, so please feel free to attend!
