Wake up early for a stylish morning in Sydney! On a sunny and crisp morning, perfect for strolling along the beach, I was able to visit Lox Stock and Barrell, a cafe on Glenayr Avenue, just as it opened. The cafe “Lox Stock and Barrell” on Glenayr Avenue had a large number of visitors enjoying breakfast right from the time it opened. The cafe is so popular that there is often a line out the door at lunchtime. The sight of an elderly couple relaxing under the sun on the terrace, spending their morning time together, unintentionally brought a sense of calmness to the place. When visiting an Australian café, you should also enjoy a creamy flat white. Like a latte, this coffee is made with milk, but the difference in steam makes the foam even finer and smoother. The milk part of the latte was a sticky sensation, and the cute latte artwork kept its shape forever, which was a nice touch. The name “flat white” gives the impression that a lot of milk is used, but the drink is less sweet than a latte, with a strong espresso flavor. For breakfast, we were served sandwiches made with their famous bagels. You can choose from a variety of bagel types and ingredients, and this time I ordered the Reuben sandwich (20AUD), a sesame flavored bagel stuffed with corned beef. The corned beef is more like sliced meat, like ham or roast beef, than like loosely chopped beef. Although it seemed a generous breakfast, the corned beef was surprisingly refreshing and I enjoyed it. Incidentally, this bagel sandwich is included in the menu that can be ordered throughout the day. It would be a very satisfying dish to order for lunch.
Experience local life at a market near the beach. Markets are held every weekend near Sydney’s beaches. The venues vary from elementary school yards to church squares, and some popular venues have a long waiting list for stalls. The market offers a variety of shopping options, from fresh fruits and vegetables to handmade goods that fill the square. There is also an organic supermarket nearby, so you can look forward to an early morning shopping experience. The Bondy Farmers Market, held every Saturday on the grounds of the elementary school, offers fresh vegetables, fruits, honey, and other organic foods. The market offers a wide variety of rare fruits and carefully produced eggs, and many families pull their outdoor wagons to do a lot of shopping. Dogs could be seen waiting for their families in front of the gate that serves as the entrance and exit to the market. Just strolling around the market, you can experience the atmosphere of a busy Sydney holiday morning. Paddington Market is the largest market in Sydney. Located on the grounds of a church in an area lined with historic buildings, creators display their wares at stalls. The Paddington Market is said to be a gateway to success for designers and artists. In addition to unique items by up-and-coming artists, there are also a wide variety of goods with uniquely Australian designs, so you are sure to find a unique souvenir. Incidentally, since the cashless culture is quite widespread in Australia, most of these markets accept credit cards as payment. Each vendor has its own terminal, but some of them only accept touch payments, so if you are unsure, ask ahead of time if you can use your credit card.
Lunch Cruise with Harbor Views from the Water The scenery around the Harbor, including the Opera House, is best viewed away from the water. A lunch cruise with Captain Cook Cruises is a great way to view Sydney’s landmarks from the water while enjoying an elegant meal. The Sydney Harbor is also spectacular at night, but you will want to visit again and again because you will see a different view at different times of the day. There are two departure locations to choose from: Circular Quay and King Street Wharf. If you visit the Art Gallery of New South Wales after viewing a work depicting Circular Quay as it once was, you will be overwhelmed by the experience of the urban cityscape with its skyscrapers. We were able to board a two-course lunch cruise (95 AUD for adults and 45 AUD for children), which included a starter and main course. The menu is said to vary depending on the season and availability, but here again, barramundi was served as the main dish. When enjoying a meal while cruising, you may be concerned about whether or not you can get a window seat. On this cruise, you can guarantee a table by the window by using the optional plan. This allows you to go out on deck to feel the breeze of Sydney Harbor and take pictures with the Opera House in the background, so be sure to include this in your travel plans for situations such as celebrating a special occasion.
