JR East has been disclosing data on the number of passengers by station, average transit passengers by route, and passenger transportation revenue from the viewpoint of information disclosure; from 2022, in addition to these data, JR East will also disclose data on lines with low usage in order to promote constructive discussions on a sustainable transportation system.
Management information for FY2022 is now disclosed for line segments with low usage. Line segments subject to disclosure shall be those with an average daily transit capacity of less than 2,000 passengers in FY 2019 results. As a result, 62 sections of 34 lines are now covered.
The Tadami Line between Aizu Kawaguchi and Tadami, and the Joetsu Line between Echigo-Yuzawa and Gala-Yuzawa are not included, as was the case with last year’s disclosure. The Tsugaru Line between Nakakoguni and Mikumaya, the Yonesaka Line between Imaizumi and Oguni, and the Rikuu-Nishi Line between Shinjo and Yome were excluded this time.
