Stayed at “Rakuten STAY VILLA Nikko

Posted on 2023-11-282023-12-08 by Editor in Chief

Rakuten Stay will hold the grand opening of “Rakuten STAY VILLA Nikko” on December 15. We had a chance to stay at the facility for a trial stay ahead of others, and would like to report on the site.

Rakuten STAY VILLA Nikko is located at 1550-6 Tokorono, Nikko-shi, Tochigi, Japan. 21 houses, 13 one-story and 8 two-story, are located on the site. Seven of the 21 houses are pet-friendly.

The nearest stations are Tobu Nikko Station and JR Nikko Station, which are a 20-30 minute walk away, so if you have a lot of luggage, we recommend taking a cab. There are 36 parking spaces on the premises, 4 of which can be used for EV recharging for a fee. The courtyard is still under construction, but according to the person in charge, it is designed in the image of Iroha slope.

There are 9 rooms in Building A, which is about 102m2 and has a capacity for 8 persons (2 double beds and 4 single bedding sets), 1 room in Building A, which is about 102m2 and has a capacity for 6 persons (2 double beds and 2 semi-double beds) with universal toilet, 2 rooms in Building B, which is about 145m2 and has a capacity for 8 persons (2 double beds and 4 single bedding sets). Building B will have two rooms, Building C will have eight rooms of approximately 105m2 (two stories) with a capacity of 10 persons (four double beds and two single bedding sets), and Building D will have one room of approximately 143m2 with a capacity of 8 persons (four queen beds).

Common specifications for all rooms include a natural hot spring bath and private sauna, as well as multiple toilets and washrooms that can be shared by multiple families or groups.

As with other Rakuten Stay facilities, guests enter the room by entering their PIN number into the smart lock, which is sent to them by e-mail the day before, and check-in procedures are completed on the tablet provided. Each room is fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven, cooking utensils, and cutlery, so you can use the kitchen as you would at home. A drum-type washing machine with a drying function is also provided, making long-term stays comfortable. Seasonings, nightclothes, and razors are not provided, so please bring your own if necessary.

One of the rooms in Building A (A08) is positioned as an “overnight showroom” where visitors can experience popular interiors and design home appliances on Rakuten Ichiba, such as Armonia Modern Deco, and is furnished differently from the other rooms.
