ANA NEO has launched ANA GranWhale, a virtual travel platform app (Android/iOS version).
The application, which recreates various travel destinations in a virtual space, consists of two services: V-TRIP (virtual travel space) and Sky Mall (shopping space). The user becomes a world traveler (avatar) and can enjoy ANA’s recommended destinations and shopping while listening to melodies composed by violinist and composer Taro Hakase.
In the “V-TRIP” section, V-guides with rich personalities guide visitors through the history and trivia of their destinations. Some destinations in Kyoto utilize data from “PLATEAU,” an urban digital twin realization project promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
Sky Mall” is a shopping mall with virtual stores, where users can walk around the shops as if they were actual commercial facilities. At each store, you can talk with the store staff, purchase digital items that you can enjoy on the application, and purchase e-commerce products that are actually delivered to your hands.
Also, by collecting “Grand Chip”, an in-app item, users can pull “Mileage Gacha” to earn ANA miles or exchange it for various outfits and items that can be used in the app. Grand Chips can be earned daily through login bonuses and in the area, and more can be collected by accessing V-TRIP and completing missions such as seasonal events.
In addition, ANA Mileage Club members will be able to enjoy services such as avatar fashion items and digital product purchases at a discount by converting “V-miles” that can be used within the application into 1 V-mile = 1 mile.
