Pokémon, Yomiuri Land, and the Tokyo head office of the Yomiuri Shimbun announced the establishment of “Poképark Kantou, LLC” to operate the entertainment business “Poképark Kantou” on a portion of the Yomiuri Land site (4015-1 Yanokuchi, Inagi City, Tokyo).
Yomiuri Land is located in the Tama Hills of Kanto, a region rich in nature. PokéPark Kantou” was named after the Kantou region where “Pokémon Red and Green,” released in 1996, first took place.
Details will be announced as soon as they are finalized, but the company plans to “produce a space where Pokémon fans from all over the world can gather in this rich natural setting, feel Pokémon, and enjoy themselves together, transcending national, regional, and language barriers.
The three companies have collaborated on various projects, including “Pokémon Wonder,” a nature adventure in Yomiuriland where visitors can interact with Pokémon in a natural setting; the Yomiuri Shimbun’s morning edition of “Let’s Learn Pokémon with Pokémon! Encyclopedia of Proverbs” in the morning edition of the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper, and the Pokémon battle tournament “Pokémon Dragon King Tournament.
