Kyoto City is implementing the “Shopping Arcade Regional Resource Utilization Project” which aims to brand the area centering on shopping arcades by dispatching coordinators to shopping arcades and supporting sustainable efforts to promote the attraction of visitors through cooperation among regions, organizations, and shopping arcades.
The “Sento x Shotengai Project” focuses on “sento” (public bathhouses) as one of the local resources, and aims to promote the shopping area in a bidirectional manner in cooperation with the shopping area as well as to publicize the shopping area in a wide area. The campaign will be held as the first phase of the “Sento x Shotengai Project”.
This campaign will be implemented on a trial basis and on a preliminary basis in the four shopping malls where public bathhouses are members (the sponsoring four shopping malls listed in “3 Operation” below), and will also serve as a needs assessment.
