The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has dispatched a survey team to neighboring Egypt to investigate emergency medical assistance needs related to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Palestine. The survey team, consisting of three doctors and JICA staff members, will depart from Japan on December 25, and will gather information mainly in the capital Cairo until early January.
The survey team will identify the emergency medical assistance needs of the Palestinian population in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Health. JICA also dispatched such a survey team to Moldova, which is adjacent to Ukraine, in March 2022. The team was dispatched to Moldova, which is adjacent to Ukraine.
JICA will provide maximum support for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Palestine, in cooperation with the Japanese government and with partners from neighboring countries and international organizations.
