Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine (68 Fukakusa Yabunouchi-cho, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto) has announced on its official Web site the Hatsumode for the year 2024.

Opening hours for prayer services, the awarding office (sacred cards and talismans), and red seals vary by day, from 8:00 a.m. on New Year’s Eve to the evening of January 8. Only red-ink stamps (red-ink paper) are available, and stalls will be open from New Year’s Eve to January 5.

The situation around the approach to the approach can be checked via live cameras on the Kyoto Tourist Association’s “Kyoto Sightseeing Navi” and other sites. In addition, predicted data on tourist comfort levels by day and time are also available.

The parking lot will be closed from December 30 to January 5, and the surrounding area will be closed to vehicular traffic from December 31 to January 5. For more information, please visit the official website of the Kyoto Prefectural Police Department.

Keihan trains will operate on the Omisoka timetable (all-night service) and New Year’s timetable from December 31 to January 3. JR Nara Line will operate extra trains every 30 minutes from midnight to 3:00 a.m. on January 1.
