On Saturday, December 9, 2023, DXCUP 2024, a business plan contest using DX technology to contribute to solving social issues in Mongolia, was held with the aim of promoting DX and developing ICT and digital engineering personnel in Mongolia and Japan. The contest was open to students enrolled in technical colleges, universities, and other schools nationwide, and approximately 60 teams applied. 13 teams, including 9 Mongolian teams that passed the preliminary selection, 1 joint team from Wakayama University and a Mongolian technical college, and 3 teams from Hokkaido, participated in the final competition on December 9 and gave their presentations. As a result of the judging, the winner was the student team from the Mongolian National College of Technology that proposed livestock monitoring using AI technology, while the other participating teams presented a variety of ideas that would contribute to solving social issues in Mongolia.

Of the 13 teams, four were from Japan (one joint team of Wakayama University and the Mongolian National College of Technology, two teams from Hokkaido University, and one team from Future University Hakodate). After the judging of the presentations, an exchange meeting was held, where students from both countries discussed what they could do to solve global development issues together, which continued until late into the night.
