Tokyo Disneyland will hold “Minnie’s Funderland,” the first in a new series of special events called “Disney Palpalooza,” from January 10 to March 19.
The theme is “Minnie Mouse’s fantasy world full of the things she dreams of” and the park will be decorated in a cute, pop-culture style with a parade, limited-edition merchandise, food, and other fun activities.
This time, we quickly tasted the “Special Sundae (Strawberry & Cheese Whip)” (780 yen), which is available at the World Bazaar’s sweets store “Ice Cream Cone” until March 31.
The rounded, swirled soft-serve ice cream is topped with arazine and chocolate to resemble Minnie’s dotted pattern. Layered with a generous amount of strawberry sauce at the bottom, the white, pink, and red hues make for a very pretty dessert.
You will be surprised when you eat it with the long spoon that comes with it! Underneath the ice cream was refreshing cream cheese whip and marshmallows. When I dug further down to the bottom, I found whole strawberries with strawberry sauce.
It is recommended to enjoy the thick soft serve ice cream as it is at first, and then gradually try mixing it with the ice cream.
The combination of chewy marshmallow, crunchy alazan, sweet white chocolate, and juicy strawberry sauce in your mouth will give you a great eating experience that you would not expect from its cute appearance.
The “ice cream cone” has nice white columns and pale blue bricks. Terrace seats line the front of the store, and dot-patterned parasols are being put up for the event only now. Why not take a break here while enjoying the view of Cinderella Castle towering in front of you?
