Abashiri City and Ohzora Town in Hokkaido will hold a tourism and regional promotion project, “Konkonrokon, Come Here! Okhotsk” from February 3. The project is a collaboration with Pokemon, featuring Rokon (Alola Rokon), Hokkaido’s “favorite Pokemon,” and AIRDO, which operates Rokon-designed airplanes, is also cooperating in the project.
The Okhotsk Drift Ice Museum (244-3 Tentozan, Abashiri City) will hold a limited-time production of “Alola Rokon: Drift Ice Ichinichi – Winter” from February 3 to 29 and March 1 to 31. Pokémon-related exhibits will also be on display at the 59th Abashiri Okhotsk Drift Ice Festival to be held on February 10 and 11 at the Abashiri Commercial Port Wharf.
Also, “Konkon Rokkon Ozora Illumination” will be held on the shores of Lake Memanbetsu in Lake Abashiri, Ohzora Town, from February 3 to 25. Rokon Rokon and other ice-type Pokémon will create a world of light.
