Rakuten Travel has launched “JR Rakupack Akai Fuusen,” which allows users to book a combination of round-trip Shinkansen and limited express trains and accommodations of JR companies.
A dedicated page for “JR Rakupack Akai Fusen” featuring the image of the Shinkansen bullet train has been established on the “Rakupack” domestic package tour page, and approximately 4,000 hotels nationwide will be lined up for the service when it begins. The “JR Rakupack Akai Kazuhune” service will be planned and implemented by Nippon Travel Agency.
On the dedicated “JR Rakupack Akai Fusen” page, users can view a list of accommodation plans, Shinkansen and limited express trains at participating facilities by simply entering the destination and itinerary. The user can then go to the Nippon Travel Agency website and complete the reservation by selecting a seat and making payment. Shinkansen and limited express tickets can be picked up at reserved-seat ticket vending machines at stations.
In addition, various discount coupons provided by Rakuten Travel can be applied to “JR Rakupack Akai Fusen” to save even more money than the package price. In addition, one Rakuten point is earned for every 100 yen (excluding tax) spent on JR Rakupack Akai Kazuhune.
Since Rakuten ID is used, there is no need to enter traveler information or register as a member, and everything from search to reservation and payment can be done seamlessly, according to the company.
With this launch, the number of transportation options available through Rakuten Travel’s “Raku Pack” has been expanded to three: air, rental car, and JR Shinkansen and limited express.
