Nihon Kotsu announced its entry into “Japanese-style ridesharing” and began accepting pre-entries for prospective drivers on January 31.
The company has begun preparing to hire Japanese-style rideshare drivers, and is accepting pre-entries in advance. Specific dates will be determined based on a notice from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT).
Pre-entries are accepted by e-mail to the NRS Division, with “NRS Pre-Entry” in the subject line and “Full Name, Phone Number, Desired Work Location, Questions, etc.” in the body of the e-mail.
Planned work locations are in the 23 wards of Tokyo, Tachikawa City, Saitama City, and Yokohama City, with a requirement of at least one year after obtaining a driver’s license.
