JR Tokai, in collaboration with the food magazine “dancyu,” will hold a “Delicious Shinkansen” event on March 24, where passengers can enjoy sushi and snacks on board the Tokaido Shinkansen train. The first 64 people to apply can do so on the JR Tokai Tours official website starting at 12:00 p.m. on January 31. The fare is 55,000 yen.
The Tokyo-Nagoya leg of the Kodama 721 will be chartered for this event. Guests will be able to enjoy 10 pieces of sushi and 6 kinds of snacks, mainly seafood from the Tokaido Highway, by the popular sushi restaurant “Koraku Sushi Yasuhide (Mitsu)” in Yotsuya, Tokyo, as well as 3 brands of Japanese sake.
