Iga City, Iga Railway, and JR West Japan will start ICOCA service on March 9 on the entire Iga Railway Iga Line (between Iga-Ueno and Iga-Kobe).
In addition to the use of ICOCA and 10 other nationwide transportation IC cards at stations, the introduction of the Iga Railway ICOCA commuter pass, which combines Kinki Nippon Railway and JR West’s IC commuter passes on a single card, will facilitate boarding and disembarking and connections.
ICOCA is sold, refunded, and recharged at the Ueno City Station counter, and ICOCA commuting pass service will also begin on the same day, but the commuting pass information for Iga Railway will not be displayed on the card and cannot be loaded onto mobile ICOCA.
The discount prepaid card service for the disabled will begin on March 16.
