Fujiko F. Fujio Museum (2-8-1 Nagao, Tama-ku, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture) will hold the second phase of the “Fujiko F. Fujio 90th Anniversary Original Drawings Exhibition: Fujiko F. Fujio’s Manga World Born from ‘I Love'” from February 21 to June 23. Admission is by advance reservation only. Tickets are ¥1,000 for adults and university students, ¥700 for junior high and high school students, ¥500 for children, and free for children under 3 years old.
The exhibition will feature original drawings that strongly depict the world of Fujiko F. Fujio, who has prioritized his “favorite” in everything, including the stories, cartoons, science fiction movies, music, model trains, history, UFOs, and dinosaurs that fascinated him as a child.
In addition, the “F Theater,” which screens the museum’s original animated short films, will present its latest film, “Doraemon & F-chara All Stars: Dream Town, F Land. The film is a fitting commemoration of the 90th anniversary of Fujiko F. Fujio’s birth, featuring a large gathering of F characters from his works.
At the museum store on the first floor, a set of five original postcards in the style of the original drawings, five of which were selected from the original drawings to be exhibited in the second phase, and a Lorburn notebook (F Characters Grand March) in the museum’s original design featuring a grand march of F characters are available. Priced at 990 yen each.
The museum café on the third floor sells T.P. Don, featuring T.P. Bon. It is a hearty dish featuring a deep-fried tortilla of T.P. Bon. The price is 1,700 yen.
