The Japan Tourism Agency has released a special page for the “Hokuriku Ouen Wari” program to support travel expenses to the four Hokuriku prefectures.
The Hokuriku Ouen Wari program is a measure to support domestic and international visitors by offering discounts of up to 50% on travel products with transportation and accommodations in order to recover tourism demand in Fukui, Ishikawa, Toyama and Niigata prefectures, which declined due to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024.
The three prefectures of Fukui, Toyama, and Niigata have already announced that the Hokuriku Ouen Discount will be applied to stays from March 16 to April 26, and that reservations will be accepted from March 8 at lodging facilities and participating travel agencies in each prefecture.
