Recently, we have confirmed that several suspicious e-mails have been sent out, deceptively claiming to be from JICA or JICA-related persons, asking for fees and bank transfer information to receive aid money.
If you receive an e-mail, SMS/DM, or other message claiming to be from JICA or JICA-related personnel that you have no knowledge of the origin or content of, please do not open or click on any attachments or links, do not reply or forward the message, and delete the e-mail or message entirely. Please do not reply to or forward the message, and delete the entire email or message.
By opening attached files or links, there is a risk of virus infection, information theft, etc. In addition, there is a risk of being involved in crimes such as fraud or extortion by replying to the message.
