FEND Bicycle Helmet with LED Lights from New York. Folds in half for storage in a bag.

Posted on 2024-02-282024-03-16 by Editor in Chief

FEND Japan began selling the NY-based FEND Bicycle Helmet with LED lights at 8:00 a.m. on February 28, 2012, as a pre-emptive exclusive. The price is 22,000 yen.

The helmet can be stored with the left and right sides of the shade inside when not in use, and when folded, it is only 11 cm wide, about the same size as the width of a postcard.

It has passed rigorous tests, including high impact resistance and the ability to maintain visibility without the chinstrap coming off while riding. It meets international CPSC and CE (EN1078) safety standards. The locking function is patented and ensures safety without losing its shape in the event of a fall.

Removable LED lights front and rear. The lights are 230 degrees in line with the line of sight and provide visibility even at night. The LEDs are rechargeable and can be fully charged in 1.5 hours for up to 20 hours.

The head is equipped with 12 vents for ventilation. The vents are arranged based on fluid dynamics so that heat trapped in the head can be efficiently discharged using the headwind while driving.

The size can be freely adjusted by turning a dial on the back of the head. Unlike buckle-type chinstraps, the jawline is clean when worn.
