Rakuten Travel announced that the implementation and reservation start date of “Hokuriku Ouenwari” has not yet been determined (as of March 4). The company will announce details on its official website as soon as they are finalized.
The Hokuriku Ouen Wari program is designed to support up to 50% of the travel price (accommodation products and travel products with transportation) for domestic and international visitors in order to restore tourism demand in the four Hokuriku prefectures that suffered a decline due to the Noto Peninsula earthquake in 2024.
The program will apply to stays between March 16 and April 26, and reservations can be made directly at participating lodging facilities, as well as through travel agencies and OTAs designated by each prefecture.
Rakuten Travel plans to start reservations from prefectures that are ready (as soon as it is decided, it will be announced on the site by the day before), but depending on each prefecture’s policy, there is a possibility that Rakuten Travel may not implement the program.
In addition, only domestic accommodations are eligible for the Hokuriku Ouenwari discount service on Rakuten Travel. Reservations made through Rakuten Travel’s foreign language website (inbound website) are not eligible.
