Yamayuki,” which auctions off the best tuna in Japan, is now open! In the fresh fish section, “Yamayuki,” a middle wholesaler at the Toyosu Market that is the talk of the town every year at the first auction, will open the “Azabudai Yamayuki Fresh Fish Store”. The company hopes to provide consumers with authentic fish, including tuna, which everyone recognizes for its quality, as well as seasonal fish and side dishes. The other store is “Nezu Matsumoto Azabudai,” which has its main store in Nezu. The owner, Hideki Matsumoto, carefully selects the highest quality fish and is particular about handling only “first-line” fish, meaning “the best and beyond. The restaurant offers a lineup of high-quality seafood purchased by ryotei (Japanese-style restaurants).

Check out the wide variety of side dish stores. Stores that sell side dishes offer a wide variety, and it is fun just to browse through their showcases. Parlor Yazawa is owned by Meat Yazawa of Gotanda, which is popular for its hamburgers and steaks made from the highest quality Japanese black beef. Azabudai Tori Shiki is a restaurant where you can easily enjoy the taste of Tori Shiki, which has been awarded a star in the Michelin Guide. Eel Egamehara” is a take-out specialty restaurant by a famous restaurant in Gion, Kyoto, and serves domestically produced eel carefully cooked in the Edo style. Kameido Gyoza” has a 70-year history and has long been a local favorite. The “Nuka-zuke” specialty store, “Naka-ya,” offers a wide variety of nuka-zuke, including standard vegetables such as turnips and cucumbers, as well as avocados, boiled eggs, and other items not found anywhere else. Other attractive stores include “Fior Dimaso,” a cheese and ham specialty store, “Sona Azabudai Shun,” a Japanese delicatessen, “Ata Shunna Delicatessen,” a Michelin chef’s restaurant, and “Meidi-ya Azabudai Store,” a general grocery store. I hope you will stop by when you visit Azabudai Hills.
