Nishi-Nippon Railroad will extend the verification experiment of train and bus boarding service with credit card touch payment until March 31, 2025. The service will be extended to all railroad stations by the end of FY2024.
As of March 28, the railroads have installed dedicated ticket gates or readers at seven stations, including Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station and Dazaifu Station on the Kintetsu Line, but more will be installed from April onward to enable use at all stations on all lines, including the Kaizuka Line. In addition to Visa, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, and UnionPay, all of which are available as of the same date, Mastercard will also be available in the future.
