Tokyu Corporation will operate a cruise train, “THE ROYAL EXPRESS,” in Hokkaido from August to September. General sales will be accepted from April 11 to May 16.
In addition to the 4-day/3-night “HOKKAIDO CRUISE TRAIN” and “HOKKAIDO Japan’s Northernmost Journey,” which will be continued from the previous year, the “HOKKAIDO 5th ANNIVERSARY CRUISE” will be offered to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Hokkaido operation.
The “HOKKAIDO CRUISE TRAIN” will operate four times, departing on August 2, 9, 16, and 23. The train departs from Sapporo and circles around East Hokkaido via Obihiro, Kushiro, Abashiri, Furano, etc. Sightseeing at Lake Mashu, Furano, and Biei is also possible. The basic fare per person, based on double occupancy, is 850,000 yen.
HOKKAIDO Japan’s Northernmost Journey” also departs from Sapporo three times on September 13, 20, and 27. The tour will travel north on the Soya Main Line while appreciating the scenery, and in the Wakkanai area, passengers can enjoy sightseeing at Cape Soya, octopus shabu-shabu, and other activities. The fare is 880,000 yen per person.
HOKKAIDO 5th ANNIVERSARY CRUISE” will run for 5 days and 4 nights, departing only twice on August 29 and September 5. Departure will be from New Chitose Airport, where you will first see a special concert. From there, the tour will take you to Lake Shikotsu for sightseeing, canoeing on Lake Kussharo, and corn harvesting in Biei, all of which can be enjoyed with all five senses. The fare will be 1,040,000 yen per person, the highest price ever paid for a single person.
Each course is limited to 15 groups of up to 30 people, and if there are too many applicants, a drawing will be held.
